Welcome to Ray's Sewing Machine Center. Ray's Sewing Machine Center has been serving the sewing needs of customers for over 55 years in the same location. In 2001, Ray was inducted into the National Sewing Hall Of Fame and continues to be the top single store distributor of Janome sewing machines in the United States. Ray has retired, but still puts in his time daily, his son Ken, daughter-in-law Lori and granddaughter Lindsay now work and manage the everyday operation. Ken and Lori continue to expand and share their knowledge of the sewing industry. They can be seen at many home and garden shows, local county fairs and quilt, sewing and craft expos. In June 2002, Ken, Lori and staff organized and promoted an embroidery seminar held at the Biltmore Hotel in North Shore Lake Tahoe. It took two years to put it together, but this was followed by bigger and better events at the Reno Hilton in March of 2004 and June of 2005 and at John Ascuaga's Nugget in June of 2006.
